Neither teenagers nor cats turn their heads when you call them by name.

Part-time working for teenagers
Children are not legally allowed to work in the UK until they are 13.
During school holidays, they may work up to 5 hours per day between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Saturday and between 7am and 11am on Sundays. However, this is only up to a maximum of 25 hours per week.
During term-time, from Monday to Saturday, they may only work up to 2 hours per day between 7am until start of school and from close of school day until 7pm. On Sundays, they may only work up to 2 hours between 7am and 11am. This is only up to a maximum of 12 hours per week.
Teenagers aged 15 and 16 may work for up to 8 hours on Saturdays and up to a maximum of 35 hours during school holidays
You will need a work permit and can get an application form for this from your school or your local Education Welfare Office.
The National Minimum Wage does not apply if you are under the age of 16
